Because it felt like running a small business was already hard – and then the Strait of Hormuz closed. LOL.
As the fuel crisis worsens, inflation rises in Australia, and we’re hit with job layoffs and stress about how the future will look, this is a great time to familiarise yourself with my cheapest graphic design services. That way, you can get your business off the ground (or professionally rebranded) for as little investment as possible while things are so uncertain.
In fact… all of these projects come in at under $1000. Grab a cup of tea – you should set 10-15 minutes aside for this read.
Low-Cost Graphic Design Services (Under $1000)
1. Basic Logo Package
Who’s it good for? Small business owners who already have a firm logo idea. This can be an old logo you just want to polish up, or a set idea for a new logo you’d like recreated by a professional designer. This project is very popular with Aussie tradies, who just need a design to chuck on their invoices and tender submissions – they CBF with a 5-week, $3000 branding package. The Basic is also great for anyone who is toying with the idea of moving from employment into business, and wants to look professional – but feels that making the full investment in custom branding isn’t wise for their circumstances.
What’s included? One professional revamp of an existing logo (yep, that includes old logos… but bad hand-drawn sketches and AI-generated drafts are perfect too!). All professional vector files exported, so your logo is always clear at all sizes. Print and screen setup. 2 rounds of revision so you can tweak to perfection. Turnaround is generally 1 week, so super quick.
Price: from $550 including GST.
Pairs well with: Business card design, letterhead design, and website or SEO audits. Also available as part of my new Omakase Brand + Web Intensive Design Day.

2. Website Audits
- Small Business Web Design Audit and 2 Pages of Recommendations, OR
- Small Business SEO Audit and 2 Pages of Recommendations, OR
- SEO Keyword Research and Copy Revamp with up to five pages of web copy adjusted for SEO keywords.
Who’s it good for? Small business owners who have an existing website, are confident editing it themselves, and want to know how to make it more effective… but can’t afford to redesign the whole thing. I’ll dive in and come up with 2 pages of recommendations to improve 1. your website design or 2. your SEO. If you go for 3. the copy revamp, I’ll actually find relevant trending keywords for you, and give you ways to work them into your existing website copy to maximise your search engine success.
Price: from $450 per audit including GST for 5 webpages.
From $75 per additional webpage after the initial 5.
And if you buy all 3 audits, I’ll package them together and give you 10% off.
Pairs well with: Basic Logo Package. By pairing these together, you could have a designer-created logo and a designer-audited website for under $1000 including tax.
3. Letterhead Design including editable Microsoft Word template

Includes: 3 design options and 2 rounds of revision to your chosen option. Files delivered as print-ready PDF and editable Microsoft Word templates. The Word file can also be used to make your own professional business invoices – ask when enquiring if you also need me to set up a branded Xero template as well.

What’s included? 5 pages including professional cover page, table of contents, heading styles, colour theme, and table design. 2 rounds of revision to tweak as you like. This is different from the above letterhead package, as it includes more pages – it’s intended to give you support to make longer written publications.

Lower Rate Ongoing Work
(These don’t have prices ’cause they’re not project-based. The quote depends on what you need.)
All graphic, web, and illustration design work for charities and not-for-profits
My NFP/NGO rate is $95 per hour (that’s flat, not from!) including GST.
This rate, which is only for registered charities and very low income individuals (eg if you’re reliant on disability support payments), gives you an automatic 35% discount compared to my for-profit business clients who are on $150 per hour.
And yep, that means – if you’re a charity – you can shave 35% off all of the above prices.

Grab and Go Design and Web Packages
The last time Australia felt the inflation pinch (before the most recent round of interest rate cuts – yeah, hello early 2024), I launched Grab and Go packages to make design more affordable for everyone. These short, quick branding and website packages offer extra-discounted work – even if you’re a business aiming for profit.
Because they’re such a good deal, Grab and Go design packages are only available when I’ve got extra capacity – and that usually means low season (January-March) every year. Join my email list if you’d like to be notified the next time Grab and Go Design and Web packages launch. The signup form is in my footer.

Are any of those you? Click here for more info on what exactly I’m offering for my dream project industries, or send me an email to enquire.
Where are all the website design services? Can’t I get a website for under $1000?
Well-noticed – and unfortunately, no. Websites simply take too much time, and the hosting fees themselves cost at least $100 per year before any design work is done at all. In fact, popular web builders Squarespace and Wix charge around $300 Australian dollars every year just to keep your website online – and Shopify charges even more than that!
So since Origami Graphics absorbs your first year’s costs for website hosting as part of your project, I can’t offer any website design services under $1000. If you can’t afford my website design packages, then I recommend you DIY your own website and then reach out to me for a design audit instead.
